APH Operational Update
As the Coronavirus pandemic evolves, we wish to update you on the APH Business Continuity plans and the extended measures we are putting in place to reopen our production facility, as of Tuesday the 21st of April, 2020.
APH form a critical part of the supply chain for both UK defence contracts and the energy industry. As these are deemed “critical” to the UK Government Infrastructure, Public Safety and National Security, APH have taken the decision to reopen production to support our clients during these challenging times.
The wellbeing of our staff and partners remains paramount, and in line with Government guidelines and our own Health and Safety policy we have taken all necessary steps to ensure our production process can continue in a manner that does not compromise the protection of our staff. These measures include; safe distancing, split shifts, risk assessments at each work station and homeworking.
In addition, APH have opted to implement the UK Government “Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme” where required, as a vehicle to align our resource levels with customer demand. This will safeguard the roles of our valued team members whilst at work, as well as ensuring that when this pandemic is over, we are well placed to upscale and deliver business as usual.
APH will aim to maintain all core functions. These will be rightsized directly in line with demand, allowing us to continue to support customers that remain open. For customers that are either reducing capacity and production volumes or opting to close, APH can match levels of demand as they reopen or increase production, in line with the government safe working guidelines.
We are acutely aware this is a dynamic situation and we will continue to monitor this.
